Personal Consecration

September 29, 2010

If God came back right now, would you be ready? That’s a question we always ask sinners right?

My Lord. As Christians, help us to daily search within ourselves, so that God will only find a pure, and perfect spirit. Tomorrow isn’t promised, it’s time to buckle down and seriously give God our all.

It’s easy to say a lot of words, make a lot of vows and promises. Do we keep them? We say we are busy, and have so much to do, but seriously, we are so far behind. God wants to work on us and see our personal consecration. That will tell what power we really have.

If we lose our personal fervency for God, or consecration, our strength will rapidly decrease. There are some personal things outside of our normal schedule that we should do for God on a constant basis. Nothing should be able to shift us off of our personal promises to God. When we cease our personal consecration, we have ceased our walk with God. Breaking a personal conviction, is just as strong as sinning against God, because He commanded for you to do it.

Daniel put his life in danger for the sake of the kingdom…. 3 times a day he went before the Lord, even though he knew that he was going to be punished. The bible said that he was even THANKING God, not having a “woe is me” attitude.

As I was driving home tonight, I was thinking about my Savior. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain, agony, torture, and hurt that He felt. They beat Him, spit on Him, and probably slapped Him. I’m sure blood was probably gushing from everywhere. Sores were developing, bones probably sticking out. The wild thing about this though, is that He could have called TEN THOUSAND angels. He could have snapped his fingers and it would have all been over….But instead He made the decision to stay up there for me! ME? That Love right there is unreal. For God to send His only son to die for me, I owe Him so much.

Lord help me! What more can we do? He did all this for you and me, my friend. There is so much more that needs to be done for the kingdom. Our life isn’t ours; our thoughts, clothes, cars, all our possessions, NONE of it is ours. Therefore we must give our all to God, and have a desire for Him to have complete control over our lives.
